About Nepal |
Nepal is the land of remote mountain villages where
people survive by growing their own food on the
thousands of hill terraces that scale even the steepest
lopes. 86% of the populations in Nepal are subsistence
farmers but mechanized farming is unheard of here; the
fields are ploughed by water buffalo, and ox, the corn
harvested and threshed by hand and ground by water
mills.
The country is virtually road less so travel throughout
the hill regions is only possible on foot and all basic
goods have to be carried by men or beasts. Many areas
lack basic facilities like drinking water, elementary
education and medical facilities. But many touristy
areas are sufficiently developed for your stay to be
comfortable. The past splendor and glory of this land
can be seen in the architectural expression still to be
found in the ancient cities of Kathmandu, Patan and
Bhaktapur.
Nepal is well known as a mystical land of unparalleled
variety with the altitude of 70m above the sea level in
the south & 8848 m height of Mt. Everest in the north.
This vast diversity in altitude has reflected to our
unique culture. Verities of ethnic groups have their own
dramatic culture, language and dialects but most of them
can communicate in Nepali. Nepal is famous for the
beauties of nature by the soaring peaks of the
Himalayas, green valleys, terraced farmlands, hilly foot
trails & the forested plains full of rare wild lives
including the lordly tiger, one – horn rhinoceros. The
religious homogeneity is next unique feature for Nepal.
The flourishing of art and architecture of Nepal reflect
the artistic ingenuity & the religious tradition of
people as well. The crystal clear lakes, turbulent
rivers with deep gorge and hot springs can be well
thought-out as the major astonishing point of Nepal &
plants like orchids & laden rhododendrons is as charming
as you can visualize.
Nepal has captivated the imagination of mountaineers,
explorers and all the manner of foreign visitors since
it first opened its door in the 1950s. A lot of tourist
visits Nepal to scale an unconquered peak, others to
undertake scientific research in the high mountains,
some come to complete an energetic trek or
high-adrenaline rafting trip, others to enjoy the peace
and cultural richness of Nepal's lower slopes and
valleys. Nepal is known as trekking Paradise. One trek
is rarely enough in Nepal, and many visitors soon find
themselves planning to return. Many visitors come to
Nepal expecting to find these things but also discover
how outstanding friendly the Nepalese are.

Nepal trekking /
travel related business was booming until 1999. After that, the
incessant conflict scared off tourists from visiting
Nepal and we are feeling the pinch of the fall in
tourist arrivals. There was a time when we recorded such
a huge flow of tourists that we used to turn back some.
As a professional Nepal tour operator we did not have sufficient
staff and equipment to handle all of them...
